about

This album was recorded live at Robert Jacobson's improvised music series at Club Fais do-do in the West Adams district of Los Angeles, CA. I'm still trying to figure out who recorded it and as soon as I do they will be credited. At first I was going to call this album "Somewhere in L.A." because I had no clue as to where it was recorded, but at the very end of track 4 you can hear me thanking Eugene Chadbourne and Rod Poole, who performed as a duo that night and who were kind enough to give us the gig (Rich West also deserves credit for that hookup). Thus, I would like to dedicate this release to the memory of Rod Poole, a kind soul and a singular musician. This was not the last time I saw Rod but it was the last (maybe the only) time that we performed on the same bill.
Immediately played together for about a year and a half, and I believe this recording to be representative of the group at its best. Have fun.
